Founded in 1985, Community Awareness & Emergency Response (CAER) is an organization made up of more than 20 manufacturing companies. CAER serves the Brazosport and surrounding areas, promoting emergency planning in the event of an industrial emergency. CAER works to serve as the vital link between the community and industry.
CAER'S mission is to coordinate emergency preparedness and response procedures between member companies and promote emergency planning with the community. In addition, the Industrial CAER Committee provides a method to promote education on emergency response procedures and respond to petrochemical concerns within the community.
